LEATHER INTRODUTION

HERMES

EPSOM Calfskin

This embossed leather is named after a city in southeastern Argentina famous for horse racing. The detailed and regular texture obtained by mechanical embossing has a clear two-tone color and a sense of delicacy.

TOGO calf leather

The intensive barrel-rolling process brings out the natural grain of the leather, and the name comes from the theme of the launch year: the African country of Togo.

SWIFT calf leather

This very soft and delicate leather was named after Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's Travels, because of its close resemblance to GULLIVER calf leather, which is no longer used today.

EVERCOLOR calf leather

A one-two punch with EVERGRAIN calf leather, with a similar softness and a rich FOREVER color.

CHAMKILA

Like the other goatskins used by Hermès, this type of goatskin comes from India and has a noble and elegant character, with a very fine, glossy texture. The origin of its name is also true to its name: the word CHAMKILA means “bright” in Hindi.

BOX calf leather

BOX calfskin is the signature leather of Hermès, named after the BOX leather technique originating in England. This technique gives the leather a unique feel and look, bringing depth and life to more somber tones.

EVERGRAIN calfskin

EVERCALF A close relative of calfskin, with a similar softness, but with an understatedly detailed and very regular embossed effect, as its name calls for.

FJORD

Heavier adult cowhide than CLEMENCE, the grain is not three-dimensional enough, larger than the grain surface of both TOGO and CLEMENCE, the advantage is waterproof, not afraid of the rain, the water droplets will naturally roll down.

BARENIA

Classic saddle leather (essentially calfskin), waterproof and scratch resistant, scratches can be smoothed out with the hand and water beads will not be absorbed by the leather. Some patina color will develop after a long time of use.

SOMBRERO

Calfskin is soft, smooth and easily scratched.

GRAINE MONSIEUR

Calfskin, similar to EPSOM, is as stiff and light as EPSOM, with a smoother and more delicate feel.

CHERI

Calfskin leather, soft, wear-resistant, waterproof performance is very good.

CHEVRE DECOROMANDEL

It is COROMANDEL goatskin tanned, shiny and more durable.

CLEMENCE

Closer to a matte finish than TOGO, it has a higher oil content and is softer and therefore slightly more saggy (looks like ironed TOGO). Products: LINDY BAG, GIPPY BAG, DROOP BOWLING BAG.

CHEVRE MYSORE

MYSORE goat skin, irregular but harmonious grain, slightly shiny, dry to the touch, softens with time

NEGONDA

Small bullskin, the grain is relatively small and clear. Representative product:Air Garden bag.

SIKKIM

Calfskin, similar to SWIFT, but lighter and thinner. Looks silky smooth and soft to the touch.

CHAMONIX

Heifer from a French Alpine resort, a frosted variant of calf-grain leather that is smooth to the touch but afraid of moisture.

BUFFALO1

Buffalo leather or bison leather from North America, soft and waterproof, the dye tends to be on the surface of the center of the leather, so it leads to spots.
